How do you bill Will?
It’s a very good question. Clear communication and documentation are essential from the first draft of an agreement to the follow through once the site is published or updated.
It is important to talk, ask questions, listen, learn and then write out what was agreed upon.
My rate is $45 an hour which is much less than most WordPress developers out there. This is because, having done this work for so many decades I’ve learned that proper planning helps efficiency. I put my attention and effort on the front-end, before I even program a word of code, with talking, sharing, and mapping out the most appropriate plan to take. The time is well spent.
When I ask about your budget this is not because I am trying to determine how far I can stretch your resources, but actually the opposite; to determine how we can appropriate the best strategies and options to get the most results within your resources.
Over the past twenty years, more than half of my clients are still using my services, because through our working relationship, my clients know that I understand their style, priorities, preferred method of communication, timing, and all of the nuances that make work a pleasure to execute.
I do require a down payment (usually half down). This allows both of us to affirm our commitment and feed our incentive to produce.
Typically, my projects range from $500 to $4,000. Each project varies considerably. The packages that I list on this page represent historically how clients have requested my services. It is totally possible to modify any of these packages to fit the scope of your project.
